One Day A Banana
One Day A Banana is a package design that shows how to consume bananas - one day at a time. The purpose of One Day A Banana is for their consumers to eat a specific staged banana on a specific day. Although the package idea is effective for users, it does not have a strong brand that advertises its purpose clearly to its consumers. The goal for this passion project is to re-design the package and brand for a design that communicates. This new re-design strongly advertises so that the audience can understand the idea.
The original package idea and design comes from Korea, so I continued Korea’s culture and language within my design. The Banana color palette corresponds with a banana’s different stages, so I emphasized the color palette to communicate even if they cannot read Korean.
Advertising the Banana
Continuing with the Korean language and Banana color palette, I arranged my research about the different stages of a banana, its benefits, nutrition, and more into an infographic that can be placed within grocery stores to clearly advertise the purpose of One Day A Banana. The research is from multiple articles and nutrition facts about a banana. With this research, I created an easily readable and understandable infographic for consumers to become interested in their purchase. In America, the bananas are usually all green or yellow when purchasing them; however, with this re-design and advertisement, the audience can be more exposed to the existence of the idea.
