A Break Up Guide
A Break Up Guide is a meme-like infographic book that is set to humor the audience while expressing real life advice on how to get over a break up and move on. Through romantic and comedic movies scenes, this guide reminds the ‘broken up’ to never lose oneself, be confident, and live for oneself.
From the interviews, I was able to gather answers about how different women get over their break up(s). Through these answers, I was able to do extra research on the psychological mind of what a person goes through after a break up.
The Research & Insights
Feel Your Emotions
When you strip away a big part of your life, you will feel exposed, empty, and vulnerable, so after a break up, try to experience the deep feelings of loneliness.
However, masking those uncomfortable feelings leaves the pain unattended, so understand that you need to accept the loneliness as a true emotion. No matter how hard you try to numb the feelings down, it will only softly fade away.
Trust that the pain does lose its intensity, making room for you to experience a sense of calmness and clarity amidst the difficulties.
Accept How It Is & Move On
Accepting that there is nothing wrong with how you are feeling gives you more peace.
Learning to accept that this is just another passing chapter in your story, purposely placed to keep life somewhat meaningful.
Live life for yourself. Your life is meant for you to strive for your goals, so do not let one stepping stone ruin the entire purpose of who you are. Learn from the break up and move on.

The Design Elements
This guide focuses on direct life advice, so Open Sans SemiBold Italic is used to write those advice. The font is easily readable and appealing to the eyes and attention. Kefa bold is applied for the titles of each page. Due to the bold and strong font, the title also catches the reader’s attention to express the main purpose of each page.
The primary color of the guide’s palette is Antique Fuchsia. This purple gives a warm and feminine touch to the entire booklet while the secondary color, Bone, is applied throughout the background of all the pages.
Infographic Pages
The pages in this guide consist of advice, meme-like movie scenes, and title pages. Through the infographic, the goal is for the target audience to read and remind themselves to get over their pain in a faster way. These pages are filled with information to guide the audience into a better and more confident being than how they are in the moment.
