MAPE Inc.

MAPE Inc. is a start up company that provides an online environment for easier shopping and shipping experience, targeting international and national users. Together, I designed their brand identity to visually launch their ideas, requests, visions and more.

The company needed a brand that could communicate with their appropriate audience - English and Korean speakers. With my knowledge in both of the languages, I was able to easily translate their messages towards their audience. MAPE Inc. wanted a clean and minimal look for their logo while having an accent that can lead their audience to do a double take.

However, because they are a start up company, the company was afraid that people would come across their logo but would not remember them in the future. I decided to solve their concerns by designing a logo that accents on a red circle while keeping their purpose below the name.

“Making international shipping Easier for People to Shop online.”

Brand Guidelines

Infographics & Advertisement

With the company’s requests, I created infographics and advertisements on how the products are shipped throughout countries. The infographics are detailed with the company’s product information, purchase requirements, shipment process, and specific foreigner guidance.

Throughout the inforgraphic, the color palette is used to signify their brand and identity. Not only is the primary color, Seashell, applied as the background, but also the accent color, Persian Red, is implemented to carry out important points. Through this, the audience will naturally draw in towards the red circles. I learned throughout this process that hierarchy can be established with not only typography but also colors and accents.

Following through the process, I wanted to add in their represented imagery and logos in the background to show ownership. Their website platform is shared by multiple companies, so the team informed me that sometimes there are plagiarism involved with other companies’ infographics. I took their advice and executed their worries away. These imagery additions minimize plagiarism of the infographics.

Creating the Advertisements

To fulfill their original purpose and desires, I translated Korean into their infographics for easier communication. Although the company’s main target audience is Korean speakers, the goal was to present information in ways which both Korean and English speakers can approach the shop. Creating these infographics gave me excitement because I was able to not only utilize my design skills but also implement my knowledge in language.
